Celebrate Youth Art Month

and Music in our Schools

We have a large fine arts festival every March. To coincide with the primary music program we created creepy creatures and painted rainforest murals for them to live in.

Start with large display paper and tempera paints....

Then add your creatures...

Some of our favorites were the Very Busy Spider

 inspired by the wonderful author Eric Carle. 
We examined the shapes that make up a spider;
circle, oval, rectangle strips for legs.

We also created painted patterned snakes using

circles, diamonds, squares, etc. for our snake's patterns.
